06 Wing gets airbag

Honda Adds Airbag to 2006 Model This is the new 2006 Honda Goldwing. What’s new? Well there’s a range of minor changes. But the biggest difference is that from 2006 it comes with an airbag.
It also gets a new low emissions system, which micro-manages emissions, and viscously damped ACG damper to replace the previous spring damper system. The upshot is a reduction in mechanical noise - and it saves half a kilo. The new ACG also offers a higher electrical output to help run all the gadgets and extras Wing owners hanker for.   There's also a new cruise control cancellation mechanism for 2006.
Honda is also offering a new 'Comfort Package' which is the bike world's equivalent of climate control. The package includes adjustable grip heaters, a new seat heater system for both rider and passenger and new foot ventilation and heater systems.
Finally, we couldn't close without sharing Honda's descriptions of the new colors for the Wing. And we quote...
"Color variations for 2006 include a new solid black that exudes a worldly cosmopolitan charm, a rich metallic silver that highlights the Gold Wing's inherent technological excellence, and a deep new metallic red that glistens with deep reflections of its pride of ownership."

The Heroes of Harley Davidson January 7, 2005 – After a successful two-year run at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, the Heroes of Harley-Davidson exhibit has now left the building. Like a giant black jigsaw puzzle, the massive exhibit is being disassembled and loaded into a tractor-trailer—not for destruction, but for relocation.

A.D. Farrow Harley-Davidson, located in Columbus, Ohio, and one of the oldest Harley dealers in the country, has purchased the exhibit and plans to give it a permanent home. Bob Althoff, owner of A.D. Farrow, said he fell in love with the exhibit the minute he saw it.  Read More Here    And Here

Rockin' Harley

Melbourne, FL May 30, 2004 Artist carves motorcycle out of wood. Jim Statlick, owner and creator of Tropical Rockers, is donating a wood carved Harley Rocker to assist in raising funds at the May 30 Art of Harley festival in Wickham Park. Keep your eyes peeled for Jim's wood carved Harley , rocking its way through Brevard County. Statlick was inspired to create a wooden rocking horse he had seen in a magazine. After much experimentation he expanded his designs to include the Gator, Dolphin, Manatee, and Whale Rocker, hence the business of Tropical Rockers was born. A friend who had been assisting Statlick was a motorcycle enthusiast. As a surprise, Statlick created a Harley Rocker for his buddy. Almost immediately there was a demand for the new work of art.
